Welcome to The Maine Lifestyle Concierge, LLC (“The Maine Lifestyle Concierge,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, www.themainelifestyleconcierge.com, and establish the general terms under which we provide concierge, administrative, household assistance, organization, event planning, project coordination, and related services.

By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry, booking a service, or engaging our business, you agree to the applicable terms outlined below.

1. Our Services

The Maine Lifestyle Concierge provides personalized concierge and lifestyle support, which may include:

  • Administrative and personal assistance.

  • Home organization and household support.

  • Errand running and appointment coordination.

  • Vacation and seasonal concierge services.

  • Event and party planning.

  • Vendor research and coordination.

  • Moving and project organization.

  • Shopping and purchasing assistance.

  • Other services agreed upon in writing.

Services are customized to each client's needs and are subject to availability, scope, scheduling, and the terms of the applicable client agreement.

We reserve the right to decline requests that fall outside our services, qualifications, availability, safety requirements, or business policies.

Unless expressly agreed to in writing, our services do not include licensed construction, electrical, plumbing, legal, medical, financial, or other regulated professional services.

Physical labor, furniture moving, installation, repairs, hanging artwork, and similar tasks are not automatically included in our services. Where appropriate, we may research or coordinate qualified third-party providers at the client's request.

2. Client Agreements and Order of Precedence

Before services begin, clients may be required to sign a service agreement, approve a proposal, provide project details, or authorize expenses.

Individual client agreements establish the specific scope of work, hourly or project rate, estimated hours, payment arrangements, retainer requirements, expenses, scheduling, and any additional terms applicable to the engagement.

These website Terms & Conditions supplement the applicable client agreement. If a provision conflicts with a signed client agreement, the signed agreement will control for that engagement to the extent of the conflict.

No service is guaranteed until the applicable arrangements have been confirmed in writing.

3. Pricing, Payment, and Retainers

Our standard hourly rate is $70 per hour, with a two-hour minimum for applicable services, unless we agree in writing to a different rate, minimum, package price, or arrangement.

Project-based services and packages may be priced differently depending on the scope and requirements of the engagement.

Billable work may include service delivery, administrative communications, research, planning, shopping, scheduling, project coordination, vendor communication, and other activities reasonably required to complete the agreed-upon services.

Clients agree to pay the rates, retainers, deposits, and other amounts established in their individual service agreement or invoice.

If required by the agreement, clients must pay a retainer before work begins. Retainers are applied as specified in the applicable agreement and may be non-refundable once work has commenced, subject to the agreement and applicable law.

Invoices must be paid by the stated due date. We reserve the right to pause or suspend services for overdue balances, subject to applicable contractual requirements.

Clients remain responsible for payment for authorized services already performed, approved expenses incurred, and other amounts owed under their agreement.

4. Purchases, Expenses, and Third-Party Services

Service fees do not automatically include the cost of products, supplies, vendor services, or other project expenses.

Clients are responsible for approved expenses associated with their engagement, which may include:

  • Products, materials, and supplies.

  • Travel, mileage, parking, and other authorized transportation costs.

  • Shipping, delivery, installation, and handling fees.

  • Vendor, contractor, and service-provider charges.

  • Reservations, booking fees, and deposits.

  • Applicable taxes, restocking fees, and return or cancellation costs.

We will seek client authorization for purchases and expenses as required by the individual agreement.

We may research, recommend, or coordinate third-party providers when requested. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, third-party providers are independent businesses responsible for their own work, pricing, availability, insurance, warranties, and service terms.

We cannot guarantee the performance, availability, quality, or outcome of services provided by third parties.

Clients remain responsible for non-refundable third-party expenses, deposits, reservations, purchases, and related cancellation costs incurred or committed on their behalf.

5. Scheduling, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

We understand that schedules can change. To protect reserved time and accommodate other clients, the following general cancellation policy applies unless a signed agreement expressly establishes a different policy.

Notice requirement: Clients must provide at least two business days' notice to cancel or reschedule a scheduled service.

Late cancellations and rescheduling: Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than two business days' notice will incur a $140 service minimum or the total cost of the service hours booked for the day.

No-shows: Failure to provide access to the property, attend a scheduled appointment where attendance is required, or otherwise make the agreed service possible without appropriate notice may incur a non-refundable $250 fee.

Third-party costs: Clients remain responsible for non-refundable vendor charges, deposits, reservations, purchases, and other costs incurred or committed on their behalf, including costs arising from cancellation or rescheduling.

Repeated cancellations: Repeated late cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows may require advance payment, revised booking arrangements, or refusal of future services.

Any cancellation fees will be applied consistently with the applicable client agreement and applicable law. If the agreement specifies a different fee or cancellation arrangement, that agreement will govern to the extent of the conflict.

6. Changes to Scope and Additional Work

Services are provided according to the scope agreed upon in writing.

If a client requests additional work, new tasks, changes in priorities, additional purchases, or an expansion of the original project, we may need to revise the scope, schedule, estimated hours, or price.

We will communicate material changes and obtain authorization, as required by the client agreement, before proceeding with additional billable work or expenses.

We are not responsible for delays caused by incomplete instructions, unavailable products, third-party providers, restricted property access, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and clear instructions.

  • Communicate relevant preferences, priorities, budgets, and deadlines.

  • Provide timely approvals and decisions.

  • Ensure safe, lawful, and reasonable access to the service location.

  • Secure pets and other potential hazards when necessary.

  • Pay invoices and approved expenses on time.

  • Obtain any permissions or authorizations necessary for requested services.

We may pause or decline work when conditions are unsafe, instructions are unclear, necessary approvals are missing, or the requested activity falls outside our agreed scope.

8. Property Access and Personal Belongings

When services require access to a client's home, office, vacation property, or other location, the client is responsible for providing authorized access and relevant instructions.

We will take reasonable care when handling property and personal belongings within the agreed scope of work. Clients should communicate any special handling requirements or restrictions in advance.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, undisclosed hazards, defects, or losses outside our reasonable control, subject to applicable law and the terms of the individual agreement.

Any keys, access devices, or security information provided to us will be handled with reasonable care and used only as authorized for the engagement.

Additional confidentiality obligations may be established in an individual client agreement.

Our handling of personal information is also described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Photography, Testimonials, and Marketing

We will not use identifiable photographs of a client's private home, personal belongings, confidential documents, or private circumstances for marketing purposes without the client's permission.

Any testimonial, review, photograph, or other client material used for promotional purposes will be shared only with appropriate authorization and subject to applicable law.

Clients may decline marketing requests without affecting their eligibility to receive services.
